05B Pumas Blue - First Place in NPL Champions League

[03 June, 2019 by Jon Meyer] This past Sunday, June 2, the MVLA 05B Pumas Blue team and coach Carlos Menjivar Jr. claimed first place in the 2018-19 Norcal NPL Boys U14 Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Atletico Santa Rosa. Goals were scored by Yukiya Yanase and Ardeshir Heinz of MVLA went unanswered to seal the match.

MVLA completed the Spring season with a 6-0-1 record beating out second place Cencal Cosmos 2005B Grey and third place Santa Clara Sporting 05N Green for the championship. The team will now advance to the regional round of the 2019 ENPL National Playoffs June 28th – July 2nd in Rockford, Ill.
