08B Atletico Blue Soccer By The Bay Champions

 [28 August, 2017 by Team Manager Suzanne Kuo]   MVLA 08B Atletico Blue were crowned champions of the top U10 bracket in the Soccer By The Bay tournament.  After defeating SF Vikings Red, they lost a tight game to Peninsula Flash Blue, 3-2.  Atletico Blue defeated Mill Valley Fusion Red in the semifinals, leading to a rematch against Peninsula for the championship.  In the final, the first half finished 2-2, and the second half went scoreless.  Late in the second period of extra time, Atletico Blue scored two goals to win 4-2.  Congratulations to the boys and Coach Albertin Montoya on the championship!
