05B Pumas Blue 2nd at NorCal Cross Regional & League

[4 June, 2018 by Team Manager Takako Yanase]  05B Pumas blue were the finalist in NorCal Cross Regional Playoffs (top 8 teams qualify) in Davis the weekend of Jun 2-3.  Pumas Blue also finished in 2nd place in their league in NorCal Premier, Region 2 South this season.

09B Bayern Blue D2 Cup Finalists

[6 June, 2018 by Team Manager, Meera Mishra]  MVLA 2009 Bayern Blue boys placed second in the CYSA District 2 Cup tournament held at Twin Creeks on June 2-3 weekend. The team played hard to reach the finals. They lost to Force Academy II in the Finals. Coach Chay complimented the boys on using their skills and following the strategies he had taught them during practices.

06B Arsenal White 1st in NorCal League

[14, June 2018 by Team Manager Tomoko Lee]  For the second season in a row, 06B Arsenal White won the championship in NorCal Spring League of U12 Region 2 North’s Gold Division. The team, led by Coach Esteban Sosa, had by far the highest goals for and the lowest goals against among 11 teams in the division while keeping the rival Palo Alto in a distant second.  Overall, individual players developed better skills and confidence throughout the season.  The boys are looking forward to the upcoming 11v11 season.

05G United ECNL Undefeated at Santa Clara Friendly Showcase

[04 June, 2018 by Team Manager Wendy Boufford]  United 05 ECNL finished first and undefeated this past weekend in their Santa Clara University Friendly Showcase. They tied Thorns 04 NPL 1:1, and beat Washington Crossfire Premier 05 ECNL 3:2, Santa Rosa 05 ECNL 3:1 and Thorns 05 Academy 2:1. Congratulations United 05 ECNL and Coach Mykell Bates!

05G United ECNL Davis Cinco de Mayo Champions

The MVLA 05G United ECNL team had a great weekend at the Davis Legacy Cinco de Mayo Tournament May 4-6, placing first in the U13G Premier Division.  The team won two and lost one in the preliminary round (against California Odyssey, their eventual opponent in the finals) before winning in the semifinals against Palo Alto 05G Blue.  Meeting up with California Odyssey one more time, United ECNL turned things around and won the Championship match 2-1 in overtime.  It was an exciting time for all.

06G Roma White Undefeated at Davis Clasico

MVLA 06G Roma White won the Championship Division of the Davis Legacy Super Clasico Cinco de Mayo tournament the weekend of May 5 & 6.  The team went undefeated winning three games and tying one to win their division.  Congratulations Roma White and Coach Ali Hall!

03B Fiorentina Blue Undefeated at Boys ECNL Showcase

[30 April, 2018 by Team Manager Dieter Kempf]  The 03B Fiorentina Blue team participated in their first Boys ECNL Showcase event in San Diego. They showed a spirited effort in challenging games against ECNL teams from Ohio, Texas and Colorado, and ended the weekend with one win and two ties. Congratulations and thanks to the boys and Coach Alejandro Mejia for a great soccer weekend, and for their dedication and great team effort.
